Aurora Aksnes is the name of a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She's professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 receiving rave reviews from journalists as well as media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the artist's most notable covers. The singer gained further attention via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering the piano she had in her attic and becoming enthralled with the sounds it could make. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to explore music and not just as a career or hobby but rather to gain experience. The singer began to write the songs she wrote herself. Like Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mom told her that her music could assist her in gaining fame, but also make other people realize their significance on the planet and realise the potential of them, she decided to start performing in public. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and began to write music at the age of nine. They didn't let her parents know about it until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Aurora says that she likes creating songs. Music is for her the ideal way to be able to feel everything.
